About KRISTIN

Growing up in Aspen, interior designer Kristin Dittmar is inherently attuned to the beauty of the landscape. Through her authentic approach to interiors, natural design elements have informed her distinct modern-mountain aesthetic. Balancing warmth with texture, and connecting comfort with style, her elevated spaces include projects ranging from award-winning historic log homes to full-scale restaurant remodels in the heart of Aspen.

Kristin’s belief is that, “Design should be beautiful and clean, but comfortable at the same time,” she explains. “I am fully aware that pets, kids, and red wine all exist in the real world.” She adheres to the integrity of the space while addressing the innate needs of the homeowners that live there, recognizing the value of quietly comfortable, yet chic, mountain living

From maximizing the space of a downtown condo to weaving contemporary with classic in a 19th-century Victorian and managing a 10,000 square foot cellar-to-attic renovation, Kristin and her knowledgeable team can do it all. Recognizing that rules are sometimes made to be broken, the juxtaposition of natural materials with clean lines provides owners with a distinguished space.

Kristin Dittmar Design projects have been featured online, noted in magazines, and published in books. Clients connect not only with Kristin’s style, but her ability to adapt, understand, and complete projects of all scopes and sizes. Her technical knowledge allows her to navigate the construction process, execute custom details, and provide skilled awareness of the importance of architectural details.

Now married and raising two young boys in her hometown of Aspen, Kristin’s projects span the Aspen valley and beyond, with distinct projects from coast to coast that bring a little bit of ski-town chic to big cities.

The Team

Kelsi Denney

kelsi@kristindittmar.com

Born and raised in Missouri, Kelsi has been passionate about how rooms come together since she was a young girl. She graduated from the University of Missouri (MIZZOU) in 2015 with a bachelor’s degree in Architectural Studies with an emphasis on Interior Design and minor in Business. Always having a love for the mountain style, she relocated to Breckenridge, Colorado shortly after graduating to pursue her career working for a design build firm. After meeting her husband, she moved to the Roaring Fork Valley and started working for Kristin Dittmar Design in 2017. Specializing in mountain modern design, Kelsi has a knack for bringing materials and textures together to create comfortable and unique spaces for each client. When not at work, Kelsi loves to go on adventures with her husband and two German Shepherds, as well as the full litany of the Valley’s fabulous outdoor offerings (skiing, boarding, camping, mountain biking and hunting).

Annie Wilkerson

annie@kristindittmar.com

Annie moved to Aspen after graduating from Kansas State University with a Master of Interior Architecture, Furniture and Product Design. Her education inspired a passion for details and creating one-of-a-kind spaces and led her to KDD as a perfect complement to our design philosophy. Annie grew up in St. Louis and interned at a top interior architecture firm during college before jetting off on a backpacking trip with friends. After a summer of travels, she studied textiles abroad at UAL in London where she expanded her passion for texture and materiality. Annie loves to discover new places taking in the design around her. On the weekends, she can be found at a local coffee shop or browsing thrift stores.

Molly Newton

molly@kristindittmar.com

Molly grew up moving around as a military brat, but eventually settled in Colorado Springs, CO in high school. She wanted to continue her journey in CO and eventually settled on Colorado Sate University, earning her bachelor’s degree in Microbiology in 2018, with her sights set on medical school.

After graduating in 2018 she soon realized that her passion for creativity outweighed her passion for science. She traveled in Southeast asia for 3 months, worked at an organ donor lab, and finally went back to school for her interior Design Certification in 2020.

She moved to the Roaring Fork Valley shortly after and began working for Kristin Dittmar Design in the Summer of 2022. On weekends, Molly loves to be social and hangout with her friends and family in Colorado. She loves to ski, mountain bike, and hike throughout the many beautiful places near Aspen and takes inspiration for design from the nature surrounding her.
